The privately owned Gailes Hotel is proud of its independence. In a world of identikit chains, The Gailes strives to set itself apart from the rest, a feat it achieves on account of its distinguished service and a host of nice touches throughout. The contemporary hotel has a boutique feel to it; it’s a place where the welcome you’re extended upon checking in runs right through till the moment you depart. Rooms at The Gailes are every bit as swish as you’d expect of a four-star establishment, with plasma screens, wifi and warm, luxurious decor. For special occasions, including weddings and anniversaries, the hotel’s penthouse apartment, complete with spa, is the last word in decadence. The private suite includes a jacuzzi, sauna, rooftop garden and self-catering kitchen. When hunger pangs set in, guests can retreat to The Zest Restaurant. Warm walnut wood and soft furnishings stick with the contemporary theme, while the menu draws on locally sourced ingredients that are cooked to perfection. The hotel doesn't just host weddings; it also hosts wedding fairs, where brides-to-be can plan their perfect day right down to the last detail. Whether visiting Ayrshire for business or pleasure, there’s a lot to fall in love with at The Gailes.

Stayed in this hotel for a 2nd time. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the bedrooms are done to a high standard and very comfortable. The food was lovely and well presented. The spa attached to the hotel is worth a wee visit, had the most amazing massage there. I will not hesitate to return.
Setting is nice, as is food. This is the third time I have been in around 6 months for lunch with my wife and the service is very slow. One of the times we had to ask for our drinks to be brought over that we had ordered, which then took forever and we landed up getting our food first. Also things like taking an order and clearing plates we have found to be pretty slow.
